The ocean is full of wildlife and sharks are not the only concern. White sharks do live along our coastline and feed on pinnipeds. However, shark vs. human interaction are rare and even more rare when there is a floatilla of safety vessels surrounding the swimmer.

I aim to cover around 10-12 miles a day swimming about 5-8 hours per day with rest days built into the schedule.

Mostly on the boat but we will come to shore and take 1-2 rest days.

Realistically, this distance could be covered in 3 months or less. However, because of the winds that plague the CA coast during the summer we have created over a month of buffer time. This time accounts for weather holds, boat issues, and to enjoy our time!!
